Rosa

One day I was getting a hot chocolate from Starbucks when I noticed a lady walk in. She was dressed a little older but looked like a humble African American lady. She got her latte and sat down next to me in those big, soft chairs they have. I decided to say hi, and to have a chat. She said her name was Rosa, and we shook hands.
"Ah, isn't this such a nice place, such a nice year to live in, actually," said Rosa.
"Yes, I feel very fortunate," I replied.
"I find it amazing that men and women of different races are in the same store, sipping from the same style cups. It's great how we are all equal, not like the past."
"It is, and this is all because of great people standing up and voicing their opinions to make a change for the better," I stated.
Rosa had a little smile on her lovely face and softly said "Yes, isn't it wonderful." She started getting up from her chair. "Well, I have to get going. Nice talking to you." And then she was off.
As she was leaving, I thought there was different about her, like I had seen her in history, familiar. I shrugged it off and continued sipping my drink.
